How much are tickets and what does that cover?
Ticket prices are $50/ticket and will increase in January and again in February.
Your ticket covers your admission to the auction event, dinner (including dessert) and an OPEN bar!
How can I purchase tickets?
Tickets are available for sale through the PTO website, http://www.herodpto.org/store/#!/PTO-Auction/c/12269071
There is NO physical ticket. We will have a list at the door showing you purchased a ticket. If you feel like you need a ticket, you may print the receipt from an online purchase.
I can’t attend the auction, but want to bid on items, what do I do?
You can purchase a remote bidding ticket for $10. You can bid on everything except the Live items, you must be in person to bet/win Live items.
An Auction Committee member will get in touch with you after the Auction to set up a time to give you your winning items.
Can kids attend?
No. This is an adult only event. Children should not attend.
So what about child care? How much and where is it?
Child care is available at Herod Elementary from 6pm until 11 pm or when the auction concludes for Herod students and siblings.
The cost is $25/child for the entire evening. This includes dinner (pizza) and popcorn. Children MUST be potty-trained.
Children will be supervised by child care providers.
The theme is FIESTA NO SIESTA. What is the dress code?
Wear something to celebrate the occasion! This is a casual event and everyone is welcome.

Who goes to silent auction?
Anyone is welcome to attend! Parents from all grades attend as well as teachers and staff. This is a fun evening outside of school and we all hope to get to know one another better.
I would like to know if my teacher is going.
Many teachers are planning to attend, but if you want to make sure your child’s teacher attends – offer to buy him/her a ticket!
We are also looking for Corporate Sponsors to sponsor teacher tables, so our teachers and staff attend for free. If you know of a company or would like to be a Sponsor, please email auction@herodpto.org.
How does the silent auction work?
We will be using QTEGO again, online bidding site. You will be able to view items, place your bids, and WIN all from your phone. You will receive an email the week of with directions of how to register and start bidding.
What kind of items are in the silent auction?
In addition to all the wonderful class projects and baskets, we have received donations from both local and national companies. There are many gift cards for restaurants and retailers, group dinners, birthday party packages, museum memberships, Herod Enrichment classes and “dates” with Herod teachers!
Is there also a live auction too?
YES! Some of our most popular items are available at LIVE auction. These items include naming rights to the circle drive, Mock- In for 3rd-5th grade and K-2nd grade, 5th grade graduation front row seating, and more!
I plan to attend, but need to leave early. Can I pay for my items and leave?
The silent auction portion ends at 10pm and at that point you will know what items you won. Check out will begin then. If you need to leave before 10pm, you will have to pick up your items at school. An Auction committee member will be in communication with you to set up a date/time.
