The goals of the Herod PTO are to work with
educators and the general public to develop
the highest advantages in physical, mental
and social education for the children and to
make available tools and materials to
facilitate learning by our children. The
PTO also works to encourage parents and
teachers to cooperate intelligently in the
education of our children. As education
budgets have been cut the support of the PTO
has been critical to the school.
Each year the Herod PTO provides funds for
technology needs, with computers and other
supplies, a resource room and supplies for
classroom teachers, supplies for the
specialty teachers, art, science and music.
In addition, in the last few years the PTO
has provided funding for playgrounds, a
cover for part of the blacktop, landscaping
for the front of the school, painting for
the restrooms and cafeteria and a school
garden.
